ok so im doing a mini upgrade and here are the specs:
compaq sr1910nx
mobo: asus a8n-lm yes LM
cpu: amd 4800+ x2 with no IHS with scythe ninja plus cooler
ram: 1.5 gb
video: nvidia 7900gt with vf900
hdd: 120gb
psu: seasonic s12 380w
key/mouse: standard ps2 then logitech keyboard/mouse usb then logitech keyboard/mouse(usb with ps2 adapter)
note: i plugged a yate loon fan into the cpu fan area to blow on my ninja
and i know its not the monitors
1. using regular ps2: so i installed everything and booted. no post. tried resetting video card in the pci/e slot and still nothing. I unplugged the keyboard and mouse and it booted but gave me the cpu fan error due to the scythe heatsink.
plugged the keyboard back in and it booted, got into bios and coun't change the fan settings. rebooted and got to install windows then gave me blue screen
restarted and got back nothing. unplugged the keyboard and got no post.
2. using logitech usb: random times i got into the bios and then it would say keyboard not found
3. same as #2 and #3
iv been reading about the keyboard could be the problem but really couldnt find a way to test everything..has anyone else had this problem?
