Computer problem.

Someone I know is having computer problems. I don't have a clue what it is. Here is what he said:

"I got a bit of a problem with my sister in laws computer.

This morning something happened (not entirly sure what, but it forced me to completely wipe her main hard drive)

Anyway, I took the opertunity to install Win XP Pro (she had Win XP Home) The installation failed many times at vastly different times. (Ranging from initial copying of system files to finalizing the installation)

Thinking it might be the hard drive I got her a new one. Unfortunatly it has the same problem.

I am clueless as to what the problem is.

The MB is a: M7MKA (the user manual doesn't even give the manufactures name, can't remember where the box is) It has one other hard drive that is set up as secondary master and a DVD-Rom drive. Sound Card is an Awe 64, and Vid card is a Radeon 7200.

Update: I swaped in a CD-Rom drive in place of the DVD rom drive, and it still has the same probelm.

I realy need some help on this one."

Thanks.
