Computer Problem

Hey everyone.

I am having some problems with my girlfriend's computer. When the power button is pushed, there is nothing, absolutely nothing. I did all the basic diagnostics, which is removing all the hardware, adding one piece at a time, still nothing. I replaced the older PS with a newer 300 PS, still no dice. I've checked all the wiring leading from the power button to the motherboard, and it's all fine. This computer has never had any wiring tinkering done to it, and the case has only been opened once to install a modem. Any help would be appreciated. If you want to PM me I will be willing to answer any questions you have. Thanks very much.

Checked, I even tried plugging the PS cord into different power bars and the wall outlet.
Thanks, though.

Can you try removing all the header cables and tripping the mobo power sw pins with a screwdriver as a troubleshoot?

If you aren't getting any fans/leds or anything then I would suspect power somewhere along the line.
It might be worth testing that with a reliable branded psu - regardless of what a cheapie one says is its wattage.

Cheap psu's will probably cost ppl more money and time in the long run
