When I turn the computer on, it will post with one beep, then it shuts off right after the beep. I figured it had to do with the power supply, but I've swapped 3 different Antecs in there and it does the same thing.

System is an Asus ASV600 mobo, AMD Athlon XP 3000 proc, Corsair 512Mb DDR400, and Asus GeForce4000 video card.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you reset the CMOS and pulled all non-required cards out?

Also pull the IDE or SATA cables from the board.

Then swap out to just one DIMM, if that has the same results try the other DIMM.

If you have another video card (should be your only required add on card) try that.

If you get it down to motherboard, processor, and memory and still have a problem it narrows things down quite a bit.

Do you have a threshold temp for auto shutoff? Could be a heatsink/fan/compound problem.

haha...it worked. all i did was unplug the ide and floppy cables (since no power cables were plugged into them from the power supply) and it worked. now i can test the system out.
