computer powers off my screen when entering sleep mode

I'm having a weird problem with my computer powering off my screen when it goes into sleep mode. I'm running Windows 7. it used to just turn the screen blank after the specified time of turning the screen off. I have not made any changes to power management at all. I would appreciate the help.

Huh?? Why wouldn't you want it to?? Are you saying it won't turn the screen back on when you wake it from sleep? Are you trolling the help forum and I really shouldn't reply to this (if so sorry to everyone else)?
