Computer pausing on boot?

I'm running an AsRock Dual SATA2 (bios 1.5), an opty 146 and 2gb memory...

For some reason when I boot everything pauses for maybe 10 seconds or so right after it loads the drives (2 dvd drives via IDE, 2 HDDs via SATA). (in the bottom right it says 0078) Then it beeps and windows loads fine. Everything seems to work ok, but that 10 seconds is kinda annoying. Never had anything like that on other systems
 
Strip the board and retest. Initially, connect only the mouse, keyboard, and HDD. Add one device/item at a time and retest. Could be faulty video driver.
