Computer Parts Information

Hello, Thanks for checking this topic.

I started this topic because i would like to learn more about computer parts and what they do and what goes with what ect ect ect. because when i look at newegg.com and all the parts its all pretty much a different language to me. which leads me to my question, Does anyone know a website that has information on this, somewhere i can read and learn about this stuff, and maybe also a tutorial on building computers? If anyone knows of anywhere that could help me with this, PLEASE POST! any help will be much apreciated!

i found this link http://www.basichardware.com/index.html to be a pretty decent overview for computer components and fairly up-to-date. For comparative hardeware reviews check out benchmarks here at anandtech, or just ask in the forums
