I set up my computer the night before, everything was plugged in and it was working perfectly. It booted up into Windows XP, and voila it was working.
The next morning, when I go to turn it on, it doesn't. The monitor stays on a flashing orange. I had this problem previously with this computer and it turned out to be the processor (Which had obviously blew because the corner of the core had burnt). However with this processor (AMD XP2000) there are no visible cracks or defects to the chip yet this problem is still occuring. I have been having slight problems with the video card being loose, its an ASUS 8200 Geforce 3 and although I am certain it is as secure as it can be I am going to test the computer with another card tomorrow. The only other suggestion I have read (where the exact same problem occured) was that the IDE cable being used for the harddrive-motherboard was too long! I will test this out tomorrow because I am open to suggestions.
Any advice is extremely welcome

P.S. Forgot to mention that the motherboard being used is an ASUS A7V266 upgraded to fairly new BIOS if not the newest.
