computer not seeing my ipod

I got a 15gig ipod and the docking station hooked up to my pc on the firewire port. My computer isnt seeing it neither is my brothers pc. Anybody had the same problem and how did you fix it?

I have that occasionally. Try these possible solutions to fix the matter.

1) Restart computer, try again.
2) Download latest iTunes, and re-install
3) Re-flash iPod(if possible), wipe it clean
4) Chipset drivers? for your mobo?
