COMPUTER NOT READING CD

Ok I put in a cd into the drive, go to my computer, D drive ,and it says its blank. BLANK! How can my windows 98 cd be blank, how can my music cd have ZERO BYTES. I tried the cds on other computers and they are reading them. WTf is with my cd rom (its actually a burner)?

Well, if you haven't already, try restarting Windows first. Does the drive even try to read the CD (does it spin up)? Does it take a really long time to read the CD? If so it could be a dirty drive. You could clean it by taking it apart and cleaning the lense with a q-tip and a little compressed air. Just be careful it's fragile.

BTW, in the future please don't bump your posts so often. The mods don't like that. 🙂
