Computer making network requests to a printer not connected

Hi,

I need some help on configuring a network printer's ip requests. This is the story: Recently I was told that my computer was making several requests to the 192.168.1.200 ip, which doesn't even exist in the network.

Looking into my computer, I found a network printer configured with port IP 192.168.1.200, so I assume this is the cause.

This printer/ip is from another client's network, and so I don't want to delete it.

My questions are:

1# I have other printers on other networks configured on my computer. Why only this one is giving requests?

2# I can access it's properties, which is strange, since I have no connection to it. Other printers don't even let me see the properties. Is this related? Like my computer assuming I have the printer connected, and the sending requests?

3# How can I avoid/correct this? Because the way I see it, if many computers on the printer network have the same "problem" they all flood the network with requests, even though they don't use the printer, and so I would alert someone for the situation.

Many Thanks

You must be selecting that printer when you print, is it a certain app that you are running when it does it or all the time...I know at my work, when running Citrix, I have to choose my printer each and every time or else it send it elsewhere..
