What Drivers did you install ??
Sounds like a IDE driver issue.. that board had a not so good SATA controller and ABIT's Cure was to casterate it.......because of corruption issues.
If you put in the NVIDIA platform drivers, and put in the NVIDIA SW IDE driver that is your issue.....probably... I used to have that motherboard, and Windows defaults are better to be honest...
The best thing to do is only add those drivers to solve a specific issue if you have one....
