Computer Locks w/ sound buzzzzz.

Hmmm.. I've been getting some very annoying locks with my computer lately. It happens in some games (AOE2, Mechwarrior 4, etc) and just recently while I was browsing the net playing MP3's. Anyway, it basically just freezes, but I also get a long buzz out of my speakers.

So I'm thinking its one of 3 things:
DX8
Geforce2 7.17 DX8 Drivers
Soundblaster Live Drivers (as far as I can tell the newest: 10/99)

Anyway, my guess is that the SB Live drivers are not DX8 compatible, though they pass the DXDIAG tests in the run menu. Any other thoughts?

Bad RAM? But I think there are newer SB Live! drivers than 10/99? Perhaps I am wrong. But if it freezes just browsing the web, and didn't before, it could be something more significant than just drivers. Try uninstalling DX8 and those 7.17 drivers.
