Computer keeps crashing...help?

I have an athlon xp2500 running @ xp3200 with an a7n8x. It has been crashing lately, and I thought it was because of the overclocking, but what really confuses me is that it was running perfectly for a week and a half, but now it isnt. I don't understand how it can run fine for that long, then all of a sudden crash. I go to run random things in windows, like winamp and internet explorer, and they don't open. They show up in the process list, but never appear. I am more inclined to think that this is a windows problem, rather than hardware. I would very much appreciate some opinions. Thanks guys!!

What PSU are you using and what is your system using? Don't just post a link to your rig, type out the basics, no need to mention small details like cas latency

Power supply is an Achieve 550Watt, which I bought today hoping this would fix the problem.

Memory is Mushkin pc3500.
Cooling is SLK-900 with 92mm enermax fan.
Not really sure what else to say. It is windows XP pro.
Cooling is not an issue, as it rarely breaks 40'c.
umm....think that is about it. I have the pci and agp slots locked at their rated speed.
One more thing, vcore has been raised from 1.65 to 1.7.
Thanks for the help.
