Yep, very ghetto, just like that POS vehicle.

why did i not see you pop your head into my thread about a Z28? o wait that is right, you woulda been owned, not just by me, but by almost every other poster in there.

but yes, the install is ghetto, and the best install ive ever seen was in an Audi. clean as hell and amazingly done.

I entered this thread looking for KITT. I don't see KITT. Now I'm leaving this thread.

Initiating departure process.

Departure process complete.

Very cool! I like his idea of using the computer for music in the car, and transferring all the songs via wireless LAN when the car is in the garage!

Please don't tell me you think this "carputer" thing is The Brand New Shiny Hotness.

If so, please leave now and hang out in AOL chatrooms where you still have half a chance of being cool. 😛

Edit - And that computer, install, and forum population sucks ass. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go open up a few HDDs and scavenge the Very Powerful Lasers inside them. 😛

Well your typical posting style is highly defensive foot-in-mouth, so this is to be expected every once in a while. Hey, mine is too...we have to live with it 🙂

It's funny that you mention that. I was reading in a recent publication of a highly respectable automotive magazine that the Maxima won the award for the biggest POS vehicle ever manufactured. But only for model year 2000 and only the SE style.

owned and QFT

Again, I can't see it. What would you want to use a computer for _in_your_car_ that a Mac couldn't do with aplomb? It seems to me it'd pretty much solely be used as an MP3 player and occasionally for movies, and the Mac can do those things just fine, not to mention the much prettier interface. God knows I'm no Mac lover (the only one I've ever owned was the original 128K Mac), but I honestly can't see why you'd be better off with a PC in your car.
I think that the PC definitely has the advantage for this sort of application. Running XP or Linux, you have a wide variety of media shells to use to make usage and visibility much easier. Hell, Microsoft even makes an OS specifically for the task with MediaCenter. The Mini job was very nice, but there is no really good mediacenter software for the macs yet that will make them as usable as a PC as a mediacenter.

When I think of Computer Trans Am, I'm picturing a Dell up on blocks in the front yard of a trailer park 😀

[mullet]You better hire Mr. T to personally guard the car. Haha.[/mullet]
