i came home around 3am and my comp was still fine.

next morning i find my computer off. . .
tried turning it on. . .
no post, no video!

i thought it was the cpu but i changed it and still like this. . .

maybe the motherboard is dead? The green light still goes on!

i currently use a a8n-sli deluxe with opteron 165

any input would help!
 
Are all the fans/etc. spinning up? How about hard drives? Most likely it's a problem with the PSU if you get no POST, anything from a dead rail to the whole she-bang. If you have a another computer handy, trying swapping power supplies.
