Computer froze when I barely kicked it.

Ok I was changing my shoes and I accidentlly kicked my computer in the cdrom area. It wasn't hard or anything, like a little tap. But right when it happened my entire computer locked. I tried restarted but I just kept getting "no signal" and the computer never made the start up beeps, even though it lit up. I unplugged the plug from the back of it for about 3 minutes and now its working again thank god.
Does anyone have any clue why it froze and why it wouldn't start up?

Just be a little more careful,
No playing soccer in your room next time, or ice hockey.
Also, basketball would be a bit of a bad idea as well, although you could get probably get away with american football.
