On Med-Highest settings no AA/AF, HL2 seems to only run 20-70 FPS mostly around 20-40 lagging a bit. And randomly my computer freezes during games: Guild Wars/Half Life 2/F.E.A.R and thats all that I know of for now, other then that my computer runs fine.

Specs:
A64 3000+
1024 (512*2) PC2700 Dual Channel
80gb 2mb Western Digital 7.2k
XFX 6600gt 128 8x AGP
Nforce3-250 Chaintech
Windows XP Home Edition
Antec Solutions 300w

Now I heard my PSU is responsible for this, can anyone else vote on that?

Just looking at your specs I would likely concur. That card takes some juice to run and if it doesnt get its fill, you have graphical errors and eventually lockup.

I unhooked the CD-ROM and Burner, also took out 2 PCI Modem cards and a Sound card that didnt work, I think I may have free'd atleast 20-30watts from that.

Genesis-- First did unhooking that stuff make any difference?
Before blaming the PSU, test your RAM using memtest86+. You can download it as an ISO or use the "ultimate boot cd" (which includes memtest86, memtest86+ as well as some other processor and memory tests) Make sure none of those are to blame before dropping money on a new PSU. If you get any errors more than likely your RAM is to blame. Also any reason you're not at service pack 2?

memtest86+ is here: http://www.memtest.org/#downiso
