Hello,
my roomate has been having a problem lately with his computer. It now freezes while playing counter strike source. We updated the drivers to the videocard and the problem still occurs. His video card is a 6600 GT. Nothing in his computer is overclocked. Does anyone know whats up with this problem?

You could pick up a video card at a local store and see if you can emulate this problem.

It could still be a heat-related issue. Apply all game patches and use the latest video drivers. If that doesn't help then investigate how hot it's getting inside the case.

We need more info. With windows XP 64bit for example up untill the 82.** series of dual core drivers I would have the same problem in CS:S and 3dMark. Some times going to just a handful of drivers after your respective card was released would be a good choice.

Also has he tried a 70 series driver they seemed the most stable but again that was in XP64. For all we know CS:S happens to reside on one or many bad sectors.
