Computer freezes when I burn?

I am trying to burn a divx movie or clonecd file and every time I get over 60% it freezes. I am running WinXP Pro, have auto notification turned off and using good media. Finally, I am burning with Nero.
Not sure whats going on. Tried 6 seperate times. With the divx movie it freezes after 60%. Sony 12/8/32 CDRW.
Any help is appreciated.

this could be completely pointless, but have you tried burning another file?

its xp
trust me i went through about 50 cds before i learned my lesson. WindowsXP doesnt like burning cds. I think there are some patches out there to fix it
