All events have dates and times. Can you find an error or warning, in the list, that happened when you had a freeze (based on the date and time of the listing)?

You get all those errors every time it freezes at shut down?
I was hoping for a more identifiable error!

I am afraid I cannot help.
Hopefully, someone else can figure out which program is causing these errors.
Or, you can re-install Windows.

there are many items there (I have no clue which ones are from the problem periods)

But there are multiple errors/warnings with these descriptions

You can clear all the events, by right clicking on "Application" and "System" and clicking on "Clear all events". Then, if the freeze occurs again, you can check the events and it may be easier to identify them.

I don't know much. But, I will be glad to help if I can.
I'll see if I can get some guys to come in here who can help.

Normal message for SP2 users. See this article. A P2P app is the likely culprit.

May be related to this KB article, in which case I don't think you need to worry.

Is your Windows Update hosed? There's a description of this event error and a fix here.
that description on the site pretty much gave it away (closest result to my problems as I've been able to find)

I tried it and is restarted fine, now when I go to shut down (I'm not talking about actualy shutting down, just clicking Start>Turn off) it doesn't freeze up

So far, so good... if it is successful like this for a few days it's probobly working for good. If not I'll be back

Thank you very much guys for your efforts and helping me figure this out!
Have a nice day🙂
