Computer Freeze

I have an ASUS A7V333 mobo. my pc sometimes freezes without warning & you can't do anything about it .... it just hang like that ....

My system are as below:

Windows 2000 pro
Win Xp Pro
Win98

ASUS A7V333
AMD Athlon Xp 1700+
256 MB Kingmax DDR333
60GB Maxtor Diamond Max Plus 9
10.2 GB Seagate
ASUS 50X CD-ROM
Lite-On 16X10X40
32MB Elsa gladiac 516
Creatvive Sound Blaster Live! D.E. 5.1
420watt power supply.

cheked no virus, no driver prob, latest BIOS !

are there any common things you're doing when it freezes? if so, then we can start narrowing it down to what's causing it.

first things I would check.

bad ram. Try swapping it out.
bad PSU. Try swapping it out.

Any recent changes you have made? Not just hardware, software, BIOS, etc

Many times that is video related - especially if it happens when you scroll or select something on the Internet.
