Well it sucks but my Dual 1200MHZ Athlon MP system caught on fire so I had to rebuild. Luckily my insurance paid for it. My only advice to everyone is make sure you have a policy that includes your computer 🙂

Anyway I just wanted to brag about my new system. so below is the link to my RIGS and a picture of my new case 😀

you have insurance for your computer? like fire insurance? I have insurance in case someone steals it
 
I do use it for Audio/Video editing which is a resource hog at times so yeah I tend to use the horsepower..but for the most part I'm just a freak...LOL😕

I build systems like that for bragging rights and for the fun of it....I like having a fast system ya know.....Do I need it...UM...well NO...but that's not the point...did I really need to overclock my old PIII 500MHZ to 1333MHZ...NO...but I did it anyway 😉
 
The computer aparrently had a short somewhere in the floppy drive fused the power wire together caught fire and sent a shock through the system.....

As for the insurace...yeah...On my homeowners insurance I have a special writer for my Computers and home electronics....Covers them for basiclly everything...EXAMPLE: Fire....the insurance company didn't pay for the power supply because it shorted but they paid for the resulting damage to the system caused by fire...Cut me a check for just over $3000 bucks!!

Running SETI already...have a small group of my own...the old system ran two workunits in every 4.5 hours or so. The new one once I get it up and running should run two every 3 hours or so! 😎

computer fire! and the thread has happy faces all over it....ur lucky the fire didnt spread...lol...its good to hear ur insurance paid for it, cuz that insurance must be really generous then.i d be more like :Q if my computer caught on fire...lol

EDIT: But then again, your insurance paid for it...so 😀

Oh well, at least I really DO have the monitor shown with that rig.
 
Yeah I was like 🙁:Q:| untill my insurance company decided to cut me a check then I was like 🙂😀😎 ....LOL

Anyway I'm still pissed it caught fire and died but happy I got it paid for...luckilly I practice what I preach and backed up my data across the network regularlly 😉
