I updated my bios for better ram compatability and now the USB connecting/disconnecting sound is playing back constantly. I've been able to narrow it down to Chill Control VI, aka 690LC in device manager, but I'm afraid to simply uninstall it. A google search seems to indicate it's Asetek drivers for the heatsink cooler, so I definitely am cautious about potentially shutting off my AIO. I have the EVGA 280mm water cooler and the fan rpm appears to be 0 in evga flow control, but the cpu under load in a game is only coming in at 60c so I don't know what's happening or if I can remove this process that's constantly connecting and disconnecting and driving me crazy.

I could mute the sound, but something about being my CPU heatsink control has me a bit wary about it ignoring it. And the drivers already have the newest version.

Why would you need a Windows driver to operate a HSF? Couldn't you just let the motherboard handle it with the standard 4-pin fan connector?

Does the cooler have some kind of USB plug that plugs into the PC? I would unplug it just to see what happens and if the pump/fan stops or not. Maybe it's not really needed and it's just used to interface with some software to control RGB or something.

Just selected uninstall and it was removed from the list but then popped back on.

First of all did you load setup defaults and manually reconfig the BIOS after the flash? If not start there by clearing the CMOS.

If that doesn't fix the issue you should consider rolling back to the older compatible BIOS.

Can you find the device in Device Manager, and right-click it, and select "Disable"? Does that stop the bing-bong?

Note that I doubt the Asetek driver is causing your problem directly... I have multiple AIO water coolers and none of them requires a driver to operate aside from RGB control.
