here are the specs of this comp

p4 2.4ghz / msi 648 max motherboard / 512 mb pc2700 ram / 350w PS / Radeon 7500 Video Card

when i turn the computer on it doesn't display video onto the screen ... it was working fine for 2 years until suddenly this happened out of the blue.. i had made no hardware changes to the comp .. unfortunately i dont have a pc speaker so i dont know if the mobo is making any beeps telling me which part is the problem ...

what is most likely the problem here ... i have put both the ram and video card in a secondary computer and both seem to function fine ... so could the problem be the motherboard ? when i press the power button the PS turns on , the cpu fan starts spinning, the fan on the video card starts spinning as well .. so the PS seems to be fine as well ..

You have probably already checked but make sure the connection between the monitor and video are properly secured. When you put it in the 2nd PC did you use a different monitor/monitor cable? If so make sure you try your normal pair.

Try the advice offered, if none of that helps then try clearing the CMOS, unplug the system and hit the power button a couple times to discharge the caps, then wait 10sec and put back to default and try again. Still no go? Try the other system's PSU.
