Computer died...

Hello all,

Could you guys through some recommendations about what might have caused this incident.

Yesterday computer starts throwing a few errors and randomly changing resolutions to much lower. Windows says reboot. Reboot and resolution is fine, but a little later on it says same thing. Resolution drops, desktop is no longer centered, reboot fixes.

Today no boot.

I am guessing video card or power supply.

If video card "Voodoo3 3000, I salute you."

CPU is 1.2 ghz thunderbird
mobo is epox 8k7a
PS not sure.

Thoughts ?

Try another graphics card.

Check ye olde EPoX for bulging/leaking capacitors, consider replacing the power supply, and take along a spare video card if you have one you can test with. Good luck!

if you do all the stuff that mechBgon said and it's still broken, you can never go wrong w/ a reformat reinstall.
