not sure if this is the right place to ask, but i'll give it a go. my comp has been VERY sluggish lately and i was wondering if there is a "reputable" website that can give a scan of my comp to see what software is running in the background. not sure if i am making any sense, but can you guy help me out?

I've always used msconfig + regedit for that.

Start->run
msinfo32.exe

Software enviroment->Startup Programs.

Any of em look suspicious?
