My 13watt fluorescent desk lamp is nearing 17-18 years old... and is in need of soon replacement...

I have one of these which was produced in 1996...

I need something which is high / telescoping, as I have a 27 inch monitor under the thing.

what are people using for computer desk lighting these days?
 
I just have a cheap lamp with a standard CFL bulb that I have pointed at the wall a couple of centimeters away. Light bounces off the wall, resulting in a nice, gentle diffused illumination.
 
I much prefer directional down-facing light shining directly on my keyboard and desk.
It makes typing, writing, and other projects much easier.
