Play a game for about 15-30 mins, then the system is still running, but the monitor goes into stand by?
the pc is makeing a high pitched buzzing sound.(i thought it was the RAMDAC on the gc).it did this on the first graphic card (gf 4 ti 4400) i had,now i`v changed it for a new gf card, and its still doing it?
its not heat ,running at 45c (cpu)
so can it be my psu (300w)?

when you lose the monitor, can you get it back w/out restart?

which game?

what are your power manangement settings?

Sure sound like a power management issue. I always make my kids set everything to "never" in Control Panel/Display/Screen Saver/Power settings.

Also, do you have some program running in the background that might be time dependent? Try running with no screensavers, no power settings, no antivirus autoprotect, no instant message program running, etc. and see if that solves the problem. If it does, then you can experiment with which one causes the problem.

Good Luck
