Computer Crashes with Full Screen VLC

Hi there,
Everytime i go into full screen with VLC media player, after a couple of seconds, the computer screen turns black and makes a weird sound. I have to restart the computer. But without going into full screen, it is completely fine. I recently just switched from the HD 4000 iGPU if that matters.

Heres my specs:
i5 3570k
asus z77 extreme4
radeon HD 7770
8gb ram g.skill
750 psu by corsair

Did you make sure to wipe the video drivers for the HD 4000 before installing the drivers for the 7770?

What codec packs have you got if any? Try uninstalling VLC and any codec packs then re-downloading/ installing it. I had a system that did the same thing a while back and this fixed it.

no codec packs. just downloaded vlc. I didnt wipe the drivers, I just disabled them.Ill try reinstalling vlc.
