My setup, Asus CUSL2, PIII 700, 448mb memory, Creative Geforce 2 GTS, SB Live, Creative dxr3 dvd decoder. Any time I play a 3d game my computer will crash within an hour of playing, sometimes within minutes. I've ruled out compatibility issues with memory and my motherboard, so i think the culprit is either my video card or my processor which I may have damaged overclocking but i doubt it. I overclocked to 933 a couple times with stock cooling but the CUSL2 automatically resets if it cant handle it. Also, another reason why it might be the processor is because it never crashed prior to overclocking it.
I am running Windows ME and plan on switching to 2000 to see if that will help. Plz help! Thanks in advance.

Cooling Cooling and more Cooling!

Sounds like your video card is upping the heat when you play 3d games causing your system to crash. Try getting a fan for the video card!

2CoolTek has some kits for video cards. I bought one for my geforce2 MX and now it runs nice and cool!:D

Did your MoBo come with any AGP or Intel driver?
If so, install them. Your problem will go away.

Can you direct me to an AGP driver I didn't get one with my mobo and I didnt find one on the asus site. Thanks. And also I dont think its a cooling issue with my processor because it never gets higher than 30C and sometimes with software cooling goes down to as low as 20C.

go here for the bios

cusl2 mobo bios info
sounds like a heat problem. Is your computer stable the rest of the time?
It only BSOD's on you when you are playing 3d games? It might be taken care of by updating your chipset drivers or just flashing a new bios.

what you may have is a memory timing problem. i had this when i was trying to play/install games. try setting your ram to CAS3 and see if it fixes the problem :)

Try a different version of the video drivers. 90% of the time the drivers don't like some other piece of software that you're running.

Try removing the SB sound drivers and see if it still crashes. Video and sound drivers are the most active during 3D gaming and the most likely to cause conflict & memory overwrite errors.
