Ello, I'm new here. Don't kill me. Yet.
Anyway, I've been raising money/ looking at building my first gaming dedicated PC.
I'm leaning toward not OC'ing but I'll probably OC in a year or two, thus the reason for the 3570K in this build.

Could somebody please tell me if I've been really stupid and made a mistake or give me their opinion/recommendations for other parts? Please and thankyou.

That looks pretty darn nice. Great video card.

Don't have any idea if those prices are good or not because I'm half a world away.

The RAM is overkill. 8GB is plenty. You already have an OS?

Two things you need to address up front.

First, the Creative sound card you have chosen is a PCI card while your chosen motherboard has only PCIe slots. Thus, the card is incompatible with the motherboard. OTOH, the motherboard has onboard 7.1 HD audio, so you may wish to just hold off buying a sound card until you see how well the onboard sound works out for you (onboard sound quality has come a long way over the last 10 years, and it is not like you can't add a sound card at any time).

Secondly, the memory you have selected is not on ASRock's memory support list nor is it shown on the G.Skill website memory configurator as being compatible with the motherboard you have selected. Thus, you may have to deal with a return if it doesn't work. I'd recommend consulting both of those sources to make sure you purchase a known compatible set of modules to minimize the possibility of having to wait on replacements.

Other than these two items, I don't see anything bad per-say about your list as most of the components are pretty solid (speakers are cheapo, so I don't know about that). You don't mention a keyboard or an OS CD, so I presume you have both? You'll also probably want to get an SSD, though you can always save that for a future upgrade on down the road.

If you do plan to overclock in the future, you may want a better CPU cooler than the stock Intel cooler (you can overclock w/the Intel stock cooler, but the CPU will just run hotter than it would with a 3rd party cooler). Just remember that you may (depending upon the case and cooler) have to dismount the motherboard to change it out, so if you don't want to do that you can always get a better cooler up front.

A friend I know has a pirated version of W7 64. He's installed it on other computers, so why not.

As this is just 1600MhZ, would this be DEFINITLY compatible? I've also downgraded it to 8gb...

It isn't on the ASRock memory compatibility list, but Corsair's memory configurator says it will work. So, I'd say you are probably good to go.

You aren't going to find many folks here who are cool with this (including myself) -- just mentioning it will probably be more than sufficient to get your thread locked.
