Computer checklist!

Hey! I'm building my friend's next computer so he can save some money instead of buying from Falcon or Alienware, but I'm gona make a little bit of cash off him for it. So I wanna just make sure if you guys can check up and make sure everything is good to go.

AMD Athlon 1 GHz processor
2 - 256 MB RAM Cas-2 PC-133 168-pin DIMMs
Enermax 330 watt w/ TC and monitoring
Pioneer DVD-105s
Asus A7V133
Sony floppy
Sound Blaster Live! Platinum
IBM 75GXP 45 GB
Visiontek GeForce Pro 64 MB w/ TV
Lian Li PC-60
Klipsh 4.1 promedias

And my friend is gona add his CD-RW and zip drive to this when it's built.
Do you know if there are enough power connectors to power the hardware, and that I might need to get him a 430 watt PS?

Oh, then I should say I'm getting the retail cpu w/ heatsink/fan. Not sure about installing one of those nice fans yet. Paste and all... sounds sticky.

the retail fans require the same amount of effort as the nicer ones to put on..and the good ones come with a pad underneath to put on so you dont need that paste unless you want to keep the CPU just a little bit cooler.

isn't that a $200 case?? The Enlight 7237 is a good case for 1/4 that amount of $. If that is not the $200 Lian Li case, disregard this comment 🙂

The Globalwin Fop32-1 comes with a pad underneath too, if so, i'm gona pick up a OEM processor and that heatsink/fan, maybe..

Yea, it's the $200 case, I really like it from the reviews, so I recommended it to my friend. I personally have the Enlight 7237 which I think is an 'OK' case. I cut up my hands pretty bad making my computer with that case 🙁

good god 200 dollars for a case!!!
sorry just expressing my shock,

system looks good, similar to the one that I will be building in a couple of weeks without all the doodads

the enermax will have plenty of power connectors and will supply plenty of power... My 330 watt actually has to many connectors! My shrimpy midsize case had a rats nest of wires because all ths connectors that i didn't need. I eventually used plastic ties to bring them down below the hard drives...

phat rig; your friend owes you a favor. Everything looks fine to me...should be fine on the power supply/connectors thing.
