Computer changes date randomly

Hello,

I have a computer that sometimes changes the system date to a future time, usually around the upper 2040's year. The computer has Windows NT server 4.0 with service pack 6 installed. It is set up as a Primary Domain Controller. I'm not sure if this is a windows bug, or a BIOS problem. At first I thought that it may be a faulty CMOS battery, but why would it change to a future date? It has happened about 3-4 times within the past 2 years. One day, it will work fine, and then it would spontaneously change itself. When the time changes, certain products won't start, and the already running applications will either work with the wrong date, or lock up. If anyone has any info, it will be appreciated.
