Here is a large variety of case Icons I have compiled (most of them made by myself) there is a rapidshare DL with all listed icons in 1 .RAR

It is recommended that you Change your icons size to 48 in windows Xp for a clearer more detailed Icon (It is already set to 48 in vista).

This can be done by right clicking on the desktop/properties
Click the Appearance Tab
Click Advanced
on the Item drop down list select Icons
Type in 48 in the Size box

If you dont know how to change your my computer icon Right click desktop/properties, desktop tab, Customize desktop, Change Icon.

this entire list was actually comprised of request from evga forums members it started as just the antec 900 I made for my self.

speaking of evga my friend created a evga theme for windows xp 32 bit that changed alomst every icon on the OS to something awesome its gotten great reviews here is a link for anyone interested SS are included:

I highly recommend you check it out even if you aren't a evga fan because it look looks so much better than standard xp. totally streamlined with a vista style taskbar/start

@ Woodbutcher. Is your computer case a small table? Unusual, but looks good.

I suppose there can't be that many people who can say that their case is made of wood and glass 🙂

I'm trying to find your motherboard - is it beneath the glass top below the mouse mat?
 
Yes, thanks, the mobo is on top facing up under the glass, I built a nightstand / PC. Time for a new one as I have lots of new ideas. Here is the back and top glass off pics.

the Icons have sepearte images in them of all sorts of sizes and color quality ranging from 16x16 256 Color to 128x128 32 bit color

that way you are always using the right icon size no matter what size your using. Instead of a compressed image (which looks like crap)

To make your own all you really need is MS paint to repostions any images and AWIcons (google it) open your jpeg with awicons (Reize to 128x128) use that to remove any background color that needs to go (most images are on a white background that has to be removed or your just gonna have your case inside a big white block) once its done awicons has a option "create duplicate images in standard forms" that replicates the images to all size and color qualities.

also I usualy import the Jpeg to awicons as a 128/128 Icon and use that size to remove the background, it doesn't look so blocky that way as oposed to removing the background on a 32x32 size icon.

Edit: A guide for changing your 'My Computer' icon in Win XP:

Right click on an empty area of your desktop.
Select 'Properties'
Go to the 'Desktop' tab
Click 'Customize Desktop...'
Select 'My computer' then click on the 'Change Icon...' icon
Click 'Browse...'
Locate the icon file (should have a .ico extension) then click 'Open'
Then click 'OK'
Then click 'OK'
Then click 'Apply' ('My Computer' icon should change)
Then click 'OK'
Voila, you're done
