I have a DSL connection shared with a 4 port wireless linksys router. I have 4 PCs that are hooked up to the router with CAT5e. Each one can see everyone else and can share files and printers. All of them could also access the internet before. But now one of them can't access the net. I didnt change any settings or install any new programs. The router is still "connected" since the other 3 computers can get online. Also this computer that cant get online can still see the other computers on the network just as normal. What could the problem be? How would I go about troubleshooting this? Any adivice would be greatly appreciated.

Typically its one of two things. Your connection isn't shared (which you verified it is by access the net by the other machines), or the machine with the problems has lost its gateway setting. Double check it and test by pinging the gateway.

when I ping the gateway with this machine, I get no response. How would I go about fixing this? I checked out the ip of this broken machine and it was 192.168.1.101 from dhcp.

If rebooting the router does not work here are some things you can try. I would verify connectivity with the LAN via pinging/share browsing etc. Ping the other machines have the other machines ping the "broken" box. Give the broken machine a static IP/gateway/DNS in the TCP/IP properties.
