I’m new to building a PC, so would appreciate some help. I am building a PC for home use, streaming and some video editing. I do not play games and am not likely to overclock but want a decent machine, without the need for flashing lights or overkill.
My budget is $1400 - $1600 Australian (the list below, using cheaper alternatives with case and Windows 10 would be $1400 here in Australia
This is my current shortlist:
  • CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x or 3700x
  • Motherboard: MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon or MSI B450 Tomahawk Max
  • GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1050 TI or MSI Radeon RX 580 ARMOR 8G OC
  • HDD 1: Kingston A2000 M.2 500 GB 3D NAND
  • HDD2: Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM008 2 TB
  • Memory: 2 x 8 Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200mhz
  • PSU: Antec EA550G Pro PSU unit 550 W ATX
Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

CPU: 3700X because it runs cooler and better in every scenario than 2700x

Motherboard: either MSI B450-A Pro Max or B450 Tomahawk Max.
Max is MSI's way telling that these B450 boards are ready for Ryzen 3000 out of the box.

GPU: Whichever cheaper, but I suggest EVGA for Nvidia card and Sapphire for AMD Card. They both are 1st tier partner from each GPU manufacturer.

Memory: whichever cheaper that can provide 3200CL14 out of the box.
