Computer boots and continuously loops

When I turn on my computer it loads the bios then after that screen it will loop itself and boot the bios again. It doesn't recognize any of the IDE devices. I'm guessing there is a problem with the ide channel? It is an ECS mainboard with a 2.2 celeron. Anyone else have any ideas what it could be? thanks

If you haven't already done so, try re-seating all the power and data cables. If that doesn't work, try just one IDE drive at a time (just your hard drive, then just your optical drive) to see if one of them has a problem. Good luck and let us know what happens 🙂

i tried one IDE at a time and it still never worked. In the BIOS it doesn't show anything being on the IDE channels. Thanks for the suggestions
