Computer beeps?

My computer beeps from time to time. I'm trying to figure out why. It's the sound that happens when you hit several keys or hold them down for a long period of time; however, this has happened when I'm not touching any keys at all. What the hell is going on?

I've found it happens when I'm in a video game. I also have a Creative Sound Blaster Audigy card installed. Once again the sound comes from inside the computer.

Any ideas? Thanks.

If it is randomly happening from inside it's somethign to do with the onboard speaker for BIOs post beeps.
Cn you post your computer model or mother board model. Maybe it is a feature that tells you somethign is wrong.

Any info on your motherboard and video cards (model numbers for instance) would be helpful.

On thing that causes beeping (though usually its a high pitched squeal) is when the video card isn't getting enough power (If you have a higher-end video card that requires an external power cable)

Another thing that beeps while gaming (though this beep comes through the speakers) is if you have some sort of temperature monitor running (such as ASUS Probe) and you exceed the thermal limit for the program, it will beep to warn you of potentially dangerous temperature levels.

Again, post some system specs, and model numbers and we could probably help you out more.

Dev man --> View --> Show hidden devices --> Non plug and play drivers --> Disable "beep"
