I'm not really sure how to describe this right, I play a game, I have winamp running, maybe a few other programs, from time to time my system will do a kind of freeze, where the music goes PPPPPPPPPPPPP and my system freezes, I can't move the mouse, then its fine. On rare occasions it locks mysystem up completely or reboots my machine. I cannot troubleshoot this at all. I dont even know where to begine.
 
I've seen something like you describe when another person was playing a game on my computer.


As a troubleshooting experiment, I turned off McAfee VirusScan and the problem went away.

So, you might try shutting off background programs and see if that helps.
