AHHH Randypj, thats just great. What was the name on your package?! was it my name!! Aaron?!?! If it was then im calling those bastards up. But I did hear from other people that its just the tracking info that is messed up and that mine is shipping to me. I hope so..
 
I'm still waiting on my order with 506XX as the order number ... It would be nice if they went in order, but maybe region also has something to do with it, because they probably have more than one warehouse, so maybe the orders for lets say the "East Coast Warehouse" are going in order, and the "West Coast Warehouse" are going in order, so the order for 52xxx in California might get filled before my order 506XX in New Jersey ... There has to be some kindof order to the way they fill orders, they can't just pick random names out of a hat and ship them ...
 
I think they are shipping roughly in order, because I placed mine about 2pm and have gotten absolutely no updates whatsoever on my order status (still backordered.) I called in and bitched, and they told me I'd have it Monday (tomorrow) latest, if not friday (it isn't here obviously) so i'm wondering if i'll even get it this month. Those bastards
 
order numbers are in the order when someone submitted their orders. Anyways it doesn't really matter what order number you are, and people should just stop bitching about that. nothing you can do about the way they are shipping then or from where. they are somewhat sorta shipping them in order. Good luck to you all, the drives are hopefully coming for all of us.
 
My order # is WB52056 and it still hasn't shipped and I'm also in S. California... I think they're shipping them out in random order.
 
Can someone who claims they have the rebate form for purchases made 12-30-00 thru 3-31-01 just scan a copy for us? This would really help those of us who bought the drive on 12-31-00. I've seen 3 people post that they have this form but have yet to post it. My drive was shipped Thursday and I still haven't rec'd it so I know there's no way Iomega will RECEIVE my rebate form by 1-31-01 as the form states.
 
Don't worry it will come, i hope, hmmm well even if i don't get the rebate, paying around $140 for a burner like this is still an awesome deal IMHO. Getting that rebate is like icing on the cake.
 
There is no form from 12/31 - 3/31 only 11/19/00 - 12/31/00 and 1/1/01 - 4/30/01 so whats up with rebate the email sail that it would be covered ..Ill give them a call If I ever get the @#$%^(&$# Drive..
 
Ramjet, if you noticed, the purchase date on that form is 1-1-01 thru 3-31-01. As I stated earlier, some of us are looking for the rebate form with the purchase date of 12-30-00 thru 3-31-00 because we ordered our drives 12-31-00.

Bucky, if you read the old posts, 3 people claim to have a rebate form with the dates of 12-30-00 thru 3-31-01. I even emailed one of them directly asking him to post it for us. He never responded.
 
yes, I read the old posts and have also checked everywhere possible..If there is one out there I'll bend over and kiss your a_ _!!!!!

I don't think there is a rebate form that covers 12/30/2000 through 03/31/2001. It's my understanding that the newer rebate form (01/01/2001-03/31/2001) will be honored based on the shipping date on the packing list rather than the email from the original order.
 
Someone posted earlier in this thread that CompUSA said that the date on the packing slip is the date used for purchase date on the rebate. So your purchase date will be after 12/31/00.
 
OK, I've read this thread w/ interest and i've e-mailed 2 people a scanned *.pdf file of the rebate form. I still have twelve (12) original forms that I grabbed from CompUSA (Oakbrook, IL) Dec 31st. Drives where gone in less than 5 minutes, they had about 30 in a pallet. Still waiting for my 2 rebates.

Visited the Iomega site and I'm surprised that they have a different dated form. Mine shows for purchases dated between Dec 30, 2000 and March 31, 2001. "Mail in request must be received by April 30, 2001"

Here what I can do....

1)I'm willing to upload the rebate form so somebody else can post it. See update
2)E-mail anybody who needs it (at the same time - it's 862 kB).
3)Lastly, mail the original rebate form (1 to each address) to the first twelve who request them (e-mail only, no private message or ICQ) Serious request only please!!! I'll update this thread when I'm out.

I'd like to do some fellow AnandTech members a favor since I've availed of the HotDeals for a year and a half.

Just hope that every gets their drives before the deadline.

Good job, RandyL. He posted the same form I got. Must have been posted while I was typing this. Anyway #3 offer still stands to those you want originals...
