CompUSA wireless G router for $14.99

i got two of them today i have one set up and it has worked great so far. No dropped signal and good speeds. Also from what i have read on the compusa website it can be used as a bridge

Man I wish I had a CompUSA near me... $15 for a bridge is a great price! My D-Link DWL-810+ just died on me and I need a replacement...

My cheepo ATT Wireless a bought a next to nothing a few years ago from CompUSA started dropping connections on the wired side recently. Bad for gaming but I think I got my money's worth and it's time for replacement.

According to the website, these routers have WEP only.
Any conformation or comment?

I had to return one of these a couple of weeks ago. The WAN connection did not work for me -- I have no problem when I switched to either a Netgear or Linksys. So, I think your mileage will vary as some people in this thread have no problem with it. The router is capable of WEP, WPA and WPA2.

This router should be the same as the Edimax BR-6204WG (firmware update)

From What I see in the Edimax manual, it appears the compusa router would have to be a BR-6304WG. The BR-6204WG does not support VPN pass through whereas both the Compusa and Edimax BR-6304WG do support VPN passthough.

The Edimax manual says this router supports QOS, unlike my Netgear WGR614 v5. At this price it is hard to pass up. The router is in stock at most of the Compusa's in west suburban Chicago.
