compusa power supplies, any good?

bought one last night in a pinch (400 watt ), and im wondering...who makes them and has anyone had any experience with them, good or bad?
 
I've had two 300wt'ers die on me. One of which flooded my bedroom with noxious fumes to the point where I couldn't sleep in it for two days. I swore I would never buy another CompUSA branded PSU ever again.

I replaced a 500W CompUSA that died on me after 4 months with an Antec Truepower. There is no comparrison in quality, fit or finish, so if they are made by Antec then they must be made from scrap parts or parts that couldn't make it in the Antec boxes.

The two 300wt'ers I had and the one 400wt I've seen were NOT Antec PSU's. Also, how is that possible since Antec does not make their own PSUs. Except for the TruPower series, they re-label Herochi's and Channel Wells with the Antec logo.

 
yep, they're crap. I've had nothing but problems with comp USA band psu's. Among other things, straight out failure, as well as some anomally that fried my MB. Besides, they're only like $15.00 cheaper than the antecs, what's the point?

And I've used a few without any problems.

hell fu^king no. it will crash yur pc if u got any thing fast even my duron lol. Get a sparkle or antech one something name brand. and u know what a compua cost $40 for a bad one they over charging you. Go to www.newegg.com and lok
@ name brand cheaper and better.
