All of my chips say "Infineon" on them. Is that good or bad? Also, where does it say "TCB". I can't find that on the chips or the packaging, but it does say -6 on the chips.
You'll only see the TCB0 or TCB3 on Samsung chips on the RAM. It's pretty clear at the end of a grouping of letters and numbers on the actual RAM chip. The -6 should be in the same place as the TCB, but on the Infineon RAM. Most of the RAM has a -7 or -7.5 marking meaning that it's a 7 or 7.5ns RAM instead of the 6ns RAM of the -6 marking.

Hope this helps.. Just remember that the -6 marking is on the actual RAM chip and this is the Infineon marking you're looking for. The "TCB" marking is on the Samsung chips.

BTW.. Best Buy does not price match online prices of any kind, so if it's not in a local flyer ad or not on sale at a CUSA B&M, you're SOL. The best you can do is buy the RAM at CC or CUSA and then buy the RAM at full price at BB. Then, do the ole' switcheroo when you return your RAM to BB with the full price receipt.

Wait, so is mine PC2700 or PC2100? I don't overclock my XP1800 system because my HSF is too crappy. Also, the other 256 in my system is Crucial 2100. So I don't know if I have any use for PC2700 so I might just sell it, unless someone has a good use for it in my system. Or I might buy a HSF and hope the I can overclock both the RAMs equally.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Something I noted on the current rebate form. Item# 295499 is included and has a $20 MIR. CompUSA sells it for $69.99, possible $49.99 after $20 MIR????

PNY Technologies Memory Rebate. Confusing thing is, it is not a PNY memory module but a CompUSA branded module. Is this a misprint or what??
CompUSA branded RAM is normally made by PNY who also handles the rebate. Rebate forms for the CompUSA RAM will normally list the PNY RAM SKU also.

Finally exchanged the unopened SpecTek DDR module I got from CC w/ a Infineon HYB25D2568008T-6. Little sticker showed " 256MB, DDR DIMM, PC333 32WND MO113948". :D Time to submit the rebates before it too late.

I hate you guys who got the PC2700 instead of the PC2100. My RAM is PC2100, CL2, and I can overclock the system bus pretty good, but if I try telling the system that it's the PC2700 the system boots, but Winblows fails to load. Anybody wanna trade? :D
