<Cone of Silence Comes Down> Well, Chief, I hear that CompUSA has gotten permission to offer the IOMEGA 12X10X32 drive as a substitute for the 12X4X32 they had on sale for $149.95 AND you get the $30 rebate, too. What, What did you say, Max? Chief, I said, get your butt down to COMPUSA and buy the 12X10X32 for $119.95 after MIR!! <Cone of Silence Goes Up> (Screaming) What did you say, Max? Geez, Chief, you don't have to yell. [I guess I'll keep my day job rather than be a screenwriter, huh?]

This ad on Iomega expires on 12/20/2000. So, the deal is gone now, chief.

This IS true and it DOES depend on the store.

I bought the Iomega 12/10/32 drive on Monday at CompUSA at Columbia, MD then told my friend. But he went to another CompUSA in Virginia and they wouldn't give him this one as substitute.

I posted this on one of the Iomega 12/4/32 threads but it seemed no one cared.

Actually I just checked CompUSA's website and they're still selling the 12x4x32 for $149 (The delivery time is listed as 2-4 weeks however), but there's still a possibility they'd substitute the 12x10x32 for $149, you just might not get the rebate. Still a good deal in my book!

Just curious, is there any significant improvement or special feature besides 10X RW vs 4X RW?

Knowing I am so lazy, and unlucky...I might not able to get it...:(

My apologies to everyone for the lame "hot" deal. I didn't realize that the COMPUSA ad was four days instead of the normal seven. Doh!!!
