If you have Blue you could pricematch to here and get the drive for $40.
Also I'm wondering how Compusa does their math. I click on the price link to see their breakdown and it goes as follows: Price=$89.99. Click on link to see how it works. Normal price=$149.99, minus $50 rebate=$99.99. Where does the extra $10 come from?

...because the CompUSA.com net price is $99.99 not $89.99 after $50 MIR . The B&M specials page linked above are B&M only spcial and you need to print out the page to get those prices. The B&M special includes an additional $10 instant rebate not included with a CompUSA.com purchase.
CompUSA, however, is not. Even though they call it a "manufacturer's rebate", it sure looks like it's from CUSA to me. It goes to the same New Rochelle, NY address as most of their rebates. I'm still waiting for my CUSA $50 rebate from purchasing a TDK burner on 10/14/01. Others I have received have taken 3+ months. :disgust:
CompUSA also will not honor their rebates if you do not follow instructions EXACTLY as listed. A few years ago, I bought 100 Floppy disks in a floppy storage case that would have been very cheap after rebate. (Don't remember all the details.) My wife sent in the rebate form with the original receipt and everything, but missed the fine print that stated a SASE must be included as well. Well, a couple of months later (they are slow) we received a post card indicating that we neglected to include the envelope and that we should resubmit the rebate form. But...we didn't have the receipt any more, now did we have a rebate form. (The rebate period had already ended and there was no way to get a copy of it w/o jumping through a lot of hoops)
