I just got a call from corporate CompUSA, and they told me that the store in Utica, MI is having its grand opening this weekend, Friday only. I'm sure all of you have heard about the CRAZY deals that go on at these grand openings. Anyways, they tell me that the ad should be in the Thursday edition of the Detroit Free Press. Cool man, I'll be there in line with you. 🙂

EDIT: BAH! Those deals suck, nothing worth waiting in line for.

no way...I saw the sign on my way to Snookers last Friday (weekly ritual for me, when I have no other plans...I don't work Fridays), and just figured it opened in the last few weeks. Definitely update this thread so I see it, as I'll be there this Friday!

Although I was going to try another pool hall this week...ah well, maybe it'll be worth it.

where's the new store at? too lazy to look it up right this minute..

Dammit, I used to live in Rochester Hills. I still do, but I'm at East Lansing, @ MSU, for college.

DAMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMIT!!!

Oh man these things are great. At a grand opening near me last year they gave away like $25k worth of free stuff. I got a free maxtor 200GB drive (5400RPM, 2MB Cache). then returned it to another compusa for $295 store credit to help buy my college computer!

Hmm..I might make the drive over from East Lansing if there's anything that catches my eye when the ad comes out.

Hey everybody, just want to let everybody know that in Rancho Cucamonga, CA having a Soft Opening on November 20, 2004. Come and check it out.

ah yes, the soft opening was last weekend for the utica compusa. check it out if you want.
robsdeals: I called corporate like a week ago asking when, and they took down my number.

Hmm, sounds like it might be worth the hour drive on my day off (Saturday). I only wonder if it opens on Friday if there will be anything left?

yeah, I go to the snookers just one building set east, with the Media Play and whatnot. M-F until 6, you buy $6 of food and/or drink and you play free. I'm usually there for 2 hours every Friday.

Keep us posted on the sale, i'll have my eyes peeled.
