CompUSA - DVD burner for $99 w/ Roxio purchase -
B&M only - sale start Sunday - March 2nd.

Easy CD and DVD Creator - $99.99 ($20 rebate avail. for 'upgrades')

+ Get a DVD+R/+RW drive for $99 with purchase of above (model - A299915 ?) - $279.99 - $50 instant - $50 mfr. rebate - $80 CompUsA rebate... =$99.

Enjoy!

Boy is that a kind of backwards deal. Buy the software (which is usually included with the drive) and get the drive for a low price. I haven't used Roxio myself for quite a while. It was okay software back a couple of years ago.

Yeah, so you are actually looking @ 279 for burner down to $99 with IR and MIR's and $99 Roxio minus $20 MIR. So it's ~$179 for burner and software, not very hot 🙁.

Roxio just came out with version 6 of their soft. It can do bin/cue and is compatible with dvd burners. I was able to back up a game with it 🙂

thanks FordLorider..it was causing braincramps ..

Will CompUSA pricematch Fry's on EasyCD? This weekend Fry's has it for $70-$20 rebate = $50.

I was in CompUSA tonight. I asked about the sale tomorrow. They don't even have the burners out yet. He said they had 4 of them in the back and I would have to camp out to get one.

This burner is right now $280 so it might be the one. Just FYI. This actually might be a fairly warm deal if the burner is decent.

woo hoo!
w/ Roxio purchase
But I'd sooner take a whiz in my computer than buy this junk. It would probably do less damage than Roxio software too.

Hopefully someone will be crafty enough to use this for a PM somewhere else.

It's 2.4x right?

2.4x seems to be what cusa site is saying. The brand name is called Ikebana. Anyone have any input about this company?

Yep, that's the one. The model number matches.

All DVD+R/+RW drives are 2.4x.

You should probably edit post title and put $179 after multiple rebates, or at least put the simple courtesy of an "AR" for after rebate.

What are the chances of all these robbates 🙂 actually coming through? Then this is a no-name 2.4 speed burner, and and given that roxio is NOT the best software for either DVD or CD burning why not get in on one of the sub $200 deals for a real DVD burner?

Sorry ususally I do not thread crap, but these are some considerations

I'm waiting till next week, compusa is going to have a bic pen for $0.99 after a 30 dollar instant rebate and a 75 dollar mail in rebate

You're not threading crap. That is a popular opinion. I wouldn't trust this burner, but that's just me.

Actually, a few 4X +R drives are starting to come out. The HP DVD300i is one for example.
