--THERE ARE NO EPSON 1200U's LEFT!!!
--The Epson 1240U will be used as a substitute!

Is that a prediction, what one store decided to do, or some announced policy?

---Which is a better deal: The 1200u/1240u for $150, or the 610u/636u for $50?

What do you plan to do with it? This is a case where if you don't know why you need the higher end, you don't need it. As a pure deal, the lower-end is better. If you don't really know what you're going to do with it, or just plan to use it occasionally to scan some photos to email or put on a Web page, stick with the lower end.

Will Staples do a price match on this? Then add the $30 off coupon for $120!:D Maybe I won't be going to CompUSA on Monday!

To answer my own question, I just checked with Staples. They are out of stock, but IF they get this in stock during the CompUSA sale, they will match the price. With the $30 coupon, that makes it $120. I'll check with them on Monday and post if they have it in stock.

Anyone think the TEAC 8x8x32x CD-RW is a good deal?

And, Does it support Burn-Proof?
