After the cr@p they pulled last time on their "blow out" sale, are we going to hype them again? Let's face it, they got a load of advertising for nothing and that mathced the number of HOT DEALS they offered in their sale -- NOTHING!

The closest one to me is 60 miles unclebud.....Maybe you have 2hours to waste driving, but my time is worth more to me than the $10 I would save on cd-r's.

just a friendly reminder... ;)

<< Online Sale begins March 22, 2002 at 12:01 CST >>

so, who's staying up in anticipation of the 'big event'?!?!? LOL! I'll be awake anyway doing work, so I'll check it out, and if by some snowball's chance they actually DO have a hot deal or two, I'll be sure to buy them all to eBay them to all of you tomorrow...sound good? :D (of course, i'll be sure to give you an "AT forum member" discount ;) )

<< *sigh.... I work at compusa, but I can tell you, that end of year "blowout" sale sucked. Bad. They just put up their extra inventory at normal prices. No deals at all. You'd be much better off just going with their Sunday ads.

I hope this one is better, but I have serious doubts.

ValSalva, I love it when you insult companies without providing any proof in your post. I'm sure you'll go off on me now, ripping CUSA for whatever it is, providing "evidence," blahblahblah.... but please don't go off unless you show us why.

Jokersmoker, keep the good deals coming!

Well, for me, the one thing I can't stand about CUSA is that you can never find anything that's onsale. Whatever's onsale is never in the department that it belongs in, its somewhere on the floor, and asking a CSR yields nothing but disinterested "I can't be bothered" responses.

I know exactly what your talking about...the one I go to is the most incosiderate bunch of people I ever came in contact with. The last major purchase made there it was like no one wanted to help us and when they finally did help us they knew NOTHING about the product (it was a monitor my parents were buying me).
And then on top of that the last two years when i go home for summer break from college I've applied for a job there. BOTH times they "lost" my application and said I could come in again and fill another out...once i did....they lost that one as well.
I now find it fun to just go in there and help people with their purchases :) The last time i was in there i saw this lady standing in the CD isle trying to pick out CDrs...she was standing there at least 5 mintues...so i went over and said can i help you? lol
we had a enlightening discussion about cdr's and finally when she was satisfied she finally noticed i didn't work there and she had to laugh :D
As for this sale... I may have to check it out...only two more hours(11pm for me)...I think i can stay up that late lol

I know what you guys mean. I have had help a few now and then. But I will say there are some that do their job... twice I had to have someone go to the back room to look for something and both time they came out with the item I was looking for.

My 'crystal balls' tell me:::

'''''' Listed prices are national prices, and actual retail prices may vary by market.''''''

Great - high retail prices to make grandpa and grandma think they are getting a sweet deal on that $1200 Celeon that RETAILS FOR $2500!!!!

<< CrapUSSR :|
Bait and switch bastards...
>>

Really? When have you gone to CompUSA and had them tell you that a sale item was out of stock and then try to sell you something more expensive, which is the definition of bait & switch? I know they often run out of sale items and hate them for it, but typically you just get the employees telling you the item is gone and shrugging their shoulder. I've never had someone try to sell me something which WAS in stock.
